Shantala Qualifies

We are pleased to announce that our trainee, Shantala Heath, has today qualified as a solicitor.

Shantala studied law at Kent University, in Canterbury, gaining a First Class Honours Degree, before undertaking her LPC in London where she earned a Distinction.  She also found time to lecture in law alongside her studies.

She joined Boyes Turner Solicitors of Reading in the Summer of 2010 before transferring her training contract to Fairweathers Solicitors LLP in September of last year.

Since joining us Shantala has worked primarily in Medical Negligence as well as undertaking some Mental Health Review Tribunal work.

Upon qualifying, she joins our medical team (1 of 6 lawyers within the team now) to work exclusively on clinical negligence claims.

Shantala commented:-

“It has been a long haul but I am thrilled to finally be qualified as a solicitor and to be joining pokies online Fairweathers’ medical team on a qualified basis.  It has been a steep learning curve for me since I joined the firm as I have already taken on a considerable case load which I am looking forward to continuing with and developing now that I am qualified. It is great to be working with such enthusiastic and supportive colleagues and to be back in Kent.”

Fairweathers CEO, Nick Fairweather, commented:-

“It is great to have Shantala joining the team as a qualified lawyer.

She has skills, attributes and commitment way beyond her newly qualified status and I look forward to seeing her develop further as an important member of our specialist team here.”
