30th July 2024 – We are very pleased to report that we have passed our Lexcel Practice Management Standard re-accreditation audit with flying colours!
Lexcel is The Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management. The assessment process is rigorous and accreditation provides assurance that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.
The audit took place entirely remotely this year, with our auditor finding no areas of major non compliance, 7 areas of minor non-compliance and 4 best practice suggestions.
She identified 5 areas of best practice, recognising both our diligent approach to complying with the Lexcel requirement, and where we have exceeded the minimum requirement. These best practice areas include our comprehensive review of policies as documented in our Annual Business Plan, particularly our Disability Discrimination Policy review; our thorough staff appraisal process; and our diligent File Review procedure, with our auditor commenting “…the Firm continues to demonstrate excellent practice in terms of documenting the annual review of policies and procedures…” and noting our staff appraisals include “…the Firm’s objectives and how the individual’s role and objectives align…”.
Our Office Manager, Tracie Linehan, who led the re–accreditation process commented: “I am delighted that we have passed our AMV1 audit this year with another strong performance! The assessment process necessarily involves a huge amount of hard work but demonstrates our Firm’s continued commitment to the high professional standards required to achieve such an accreditation”.
