I am a paralegal for Fairweathers Solicitors LLP, which is my first role within the legal profession after graduating in Law in 2018.
I take all initial client enquiries and present potential cases to the solicitors at our weekly Civil Litigation Meetings. I assist the solicitors with their cases, in particular helping with requesting and collating medical records. I also have administrative responsibilities within the firm.
In the Past
I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2018 with a 1st class degree in Law and a 1st in the medical law module. Whilst at University, I gained work experience at law firms and barristers’ chambers including Freeths and Ropewalk Chambers, as well as shadowing a Judge at Derby Crown Court. I also worked as a Legal Advisor in the University’s Legal Advice Centre.
I am very passionate about giving back to the community and supporting vulnerable people. I have volunteered for Childline as a telephone counsellor, with Guru Nanak’s Mission, feeding the homeless and in Morocco helping at schools and at a women’s shelter.
In my Spare Time
I am a qualified yoga instructor after having completed my YTT 200 teacher training in 2018 and I try to practice it every day. I attend weekly art classes, where I get to explore my creative side. I also love to travel as it allows me the opportunity to experience different cultures and cuisines!
Most of all in my spare time I enjoy just spending time with family and friends.
