Our response to the Coronavirus outbreak

The situation surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak develops daily and continues to create uncertainty for many of us in our daily lives. 

We have made the decision to move to home working as soon as possible.  We are now implementing this and are currently facilitating all staff to work from home.  We aim to have completed this roll out by the end of this week.

Please be assured that we aim to have our service operating as close to normal as possible.  We have the equipment, technology and systems in place to ensure all Staff have secure system access to work remotely from home and you will be able to reach them on the usual phone number or email address.  We are confident that by taking this approach, we can ensure that public health is protected and that our clients’ matters are dealt with as efficiently as possible.

We receive most of our communications electronically and recommend that you continue to use email to communicate with us, and that you scan in any documentation you need to share with us and attach it electronically to the email.

If resourcing levels in any part of our business are compromised due to illness or inability to work, we will refocus our teams as necessary to deliver to deadlines. This would mean prioritisation of workloads and we would keep those affected updated, whilst taking every effort to mitigate the impact should this situation arise.

We will have a skeleton crew of staff in the office – the family of Fairweathers – who, as a family, are in isolation but can do so from the office.  This allows us to continue administrative tasks, including receiving/delivering post and DX, as well as continuing to deal with all phone calls which we are able to transfer to relevant staff members at home.  

The health and safety of our staff and clients is our utmost priority, and we want to assure our clients that we are following the guidelines set by the UK Government, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Public Health England (PHE). 

In the circumstances, we are currently asking clients to not attend our offices.  Face to face appointments and meetings will now not be taking place until further notice.   We are doing so in the interests of safety for our clients and our staff.  However, we are happy to facilitate video calls where possible.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and are following all relevant Government, WHO & PHE advice/guidance.  This will be reviewed as recommendations change and further communications will follow.
