New Employment Solicitor at Fairweathers

We are delighted to announce that Neil Robertson has joined us today to take up a full time position in our Employment Department. After securing a first class law degree, at the University of Westminster, followed by a distinction in his LPC solicitor exams, Neil undertook his training contract with Thomas Dunton, a 4 partner Legal Aid High Street firm in Orpington, Kent where he qualified in August 2008.

Upon qualifying, he remained at Thomas Dunton specialising in representing employees over the whole range of employment disputes including unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, wages/holiday claims, disability and sexual discrimination claims.

Neil also worked extensively with Citizens Advice Bureaux in North Kent as well as having employment articles published in magazines and the local press there.

Nick Fairweather commented:-

“I am thrilled to have Neil joining us.  He is rare find: a bright young lawyer dedicated to, and with experience of, representing employees rather than employers within employment litigation.  We are passionate about access to justice and Neil’s appointment means that our Employment Department can now match our other departments in being able to take on all new clients.  It has been frustrating to have to turn away employment clients in recent times due to sheer volumes of work and demand. Neil’s appointment means that this no longer needs to happen.  I hope and believe that he has a long and bright future with the firm”.

Neil himself commented:-

“I am delighted to be joining Fairweathers and furthering my passion for employee representation.  It is a forward looking firm with a strong departmental team and I am very much looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.  I believe that we can become the leading Employment Department in the region for employee representation”.
