Firm commits to Lexcel and ISO9000 Quality Standards

Over the past six months, everyone in the firm (as if we were not busy enough with case work!) has worked hard in overhauling all our procedures in preparation for an application to be Lexcel Accredited by the Law Society. At the same time we have looked to make our procedures ISO9000 compliant.

Lexcel is the Law Society’s practice management standard.

It covers all aspects of a firm’s operations with a particular emphasis on client care and quality standards.

We have today undergone a preliminary audit with Canterbury Associates who found that our procedures were 89% compliant with Lexcel and ISO9000 requirements, a considerable achievement.

We will now proceed with formal applications and expect to achieve the accreditations over the coming financial year.

Senior partner Nick Fairweather commented:-

“It is has taken a tremendous amount of concerted effort by everyone in the firm in order to update and improve our procedures so that I am confident that we will secure Lexcel and ISO9000 accreditation over the coming year on the top of the LSC Quality Mark accreditation the firm already enjoys.

Only a small minority of firms have Lexcel accreditation currently.

I believe in the standard and that it is essential for any modern forward thinking practice to secure and adhere to its requirements.”
