Fairweathers supports Child.org

9th March 2020 – “Whoever they are, wherever they are born, every child deserves an equal opportunity. Child.org are here to make that happen.

Child.org work in the most difficult places in the world to grow up. We’re dedicated to answering questions that will lead to real impact for children by tackling some of the most entrenched obstacles they face to a healthy life, good education and a safe environment. Sometimes we provide training for mothers, so they can grow enough nutritious food to feed their family. Sometimes we provide access to clean water or health services at a child’s school. Sometimes we design new early diagnosis tools. We believe in collecting intelligence and creating solutions that can be tailored to a child’s specific situation. We do what works.”

Child.org began in 2006 and was set up for the public benefit and particularly but without limitation, for the benefit of children to:
 relieve poverty sickness and distress
 advance health and social welfare
 advance education
They are based near Old Street, London but operate throughout England and Wales, Kenya and Sierra Leone.

They have over 300 volunteers and supporting Partners, including Comic Relief and Festival Republic and receive funding from the Department for International Development (DtID. This year Fairweathers has decided to join in by making a donation to support this worthwhile charity. This is part of our ongoing commitment to our Community Social Responsibility.

We are also sponsoring 2 friends of Fairweathers, who are taking part in the Ride Africa event in November 2020, which is one of the fundraising projects operated by the charity. This will be their 4 th time of doing so, cycling over 500km across parts of Kenya in 5 days!!
