End of year report

We are delighted to have celebrated our first anniversary earlier this month.

It has been a hectic but enjoyable and rewarding year as the firm has established itself as a specialist provider locally in all its areas of practice. It has been a very successful year.

Since opening for business on 3rd April last year:-

Our medical negligence and personal injury department has recovered more than £1,250,000 in damages for medical negligence and other accident victims.

Our employment department has recovered over £250,000 for employees discriminated against, unfairly dismissed or otherwise unfairly treated by employers.

Our Mental Health Team has been so busy that, earlier in the year, its original allocation of new matter starts, from the LSC, had to be increased from 137 to 157. For the coming year 160 new matter starts have been allocated.

The firm has introduced new procedures which, we believe, will make for a successful application for Lexcel (the Law Society’s management standards quality) accreditation later in the year.

Our client satisfaction questionnaire responses showed 75% of clients were “very satisfied” with our services and would be certain to recommend us to others.

Finally, earlier than anticipated, our success over the past 13 months has put us in a position to proceed with opening a new family department which will take place next week.

The only problem now is that, even with building works to the offices, we are now ‘full up’ with staff!

It all makes for a very exciting future!
