We are delighted to announce that Partner, Darren Tamplin, has been appointed to the AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents) Specialist Panel of Clinical Negligence solicitors. Darren underwent a rigorous application process and, in common with all members of the Panel shall undergo a re-accreditation process every 5 years.
Darren becomes the only member of the Panel in East Kent and only one of now 4 Panel members in the whole county.
AvMA is the extremely influential independent charity which promotes better patient safety and justice for people who have been affected by a medical accident and all forms of clinical negligence. AvMA believes that whatever the cause of a medical accident, the people affected deserve explanations, support and where appropriate, compensation. At any one time AvMA is involved in a significant number of campaigns and is seen as a significantly influential advisor to various Healthcare Agencies, Central Government and the Legal Services Commission.
Upon receiving the news of his successful application Darren said “I am absolutely delighted to have been accepted by AvMA as one of the very few true specialist and expert clinical negligence solicitors. I shall continue to do all that I can for those that have suffered injury as a result of poor medical treatment and pledge to uphold AvMA’s Code of Conduct for Panel members”.
Nick Fairweather, Head of the Clinical Negligence Department at the firm and Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel member said “I am very happy for Darren and for the prestige that this brings to the firm and in particular the Clinical Negligence Department. The appointment underlines our commitment to this area of law.”
