New trainee at Fairweathers

Paralegal, Helen Neville has today entered into a training contract with the firm.

She becomes Fairweathers’ second trainee since we started (Gemma Purt having been the first).Helen joined us a paralegal from national law firm Shoosmiths in February this year.

She works on medical negligence and personal injury actions.

It is hoped that her previous experience as a paralegal will be recognised by the SRA so that she will qualify in 18 months rather than the standard 2 year contract that trainees normally have to undertake.

During her training contract Helen will work not just on her favoured areas of medical negligence and personal injury but also in assisting other departments – family, mental health and employment.

Principal, Nick Fairweather commented:-

I am delighted to be able to offer Helen this opportunity which she thoroughly deserves and look forward to her qualifying with the firm.

Helen herself commented:-

I am delighted to be entering into a training contract with Fairweathers. With the firm expanding fast in all its departments, it is a busy and challenging environment but also a friendly one with supportive colleagues. Whilst I hope to specialise in medical negligence and personal injury work once I qualify I am also looking forward to the challenges that await me working in the other departments in the firm”.
