Fairweathers Passes Lexcel 3 Year Re-accreditation With Flying Colours!

We are pleased to report that we have successfully completed our full 3 year Lexcel review which took place over 2 full days earlier this week, Monday, 13th and Tuesday, 14th January.

The assessor’s summary focused on the positive factors arising from our move last year and praised the thoroughness of the firm’s plans, policies and procedures.

She concluded:-

“The firm continues to demonstrate a high degree of quality in its practice management”.

10 areas of good practice were identified in all, ranging from a clear office manual, to our charitable work and the thoroughness of our annual and 6 monthly business planning.

Our recruitment procedures were also mentioned favourably as was the face to face aspect to our file reviews and our “very thorough” limitation procedures.

Our CEO, Nick Fairweather, commented:-

“I am particularly pleased that we have done so well in our full re-accreditation this year as it comes following the upheaval of our move to Whitstable from Canterbury.

The move enabled us to overhaul and review a lot of our operating systems as well as our practices and procedures and we took the opportunity of the move to review our policies on health and safety, disability, IT and in other areas earlier than we would have ordinarily (so as to address these areas within our new setting).  I am pleased this has paid off.  Lexcel continues to be the leading accreditation for law firms and we are proud to carry this quality standard and will continue to do so”.
